The Finest White Gold Glitter ~

Over the weekend I invested in some good glitter. I have German Glass glitter but you can't use it for everything. So Martha Stewart has what I believe is the best super fine White Gold glitter. Among her other colors are blue topaz, turquoise, and ivory tinsel glitter. I am still glittered with the fine stuff. It's everywhere, but I like it. These ornaments are repurposed cd's. On the one side are digitally softened images of Christmas angels and the other side is Robin's Egg Blue damask. The hanger is ivory pearl seam binding, and yes, those are real glass prisms with gold metal connectors.  My camera didn't capture the true Robin's Egg Blue. I tried to 'fix' it in my photo editing but it wouldn't work. Anyway, I'm thinking about selling these. The photos really don't do justice.

Robin's Egg Blues Giveaway Has 3 Winners !

Are you ready my blog friends? We did it the old fashioned way, writing names on strips of paper and the people that had 7 chances, I printed and copied 7 times. All of your names on plain paper strips neatly folded and tossed into my shabby hat box and covered. My hat box has been gently shaken several times to insure they are all mixed thoroughly.

Here the hatbox sits in the garden of the southwest until the drawing!

It's almost 10 a.m. here 63 degrees and sunny. Robin's Egg Blues is ready to draw three names from the hatbox.

We're ready!

One more tussle, one more russle... LOL

This is so fun!

Ornament Swap...L@@k!

My ornament is finished for the 2009 swap. I worked on it for some time today because when you don't do this often, the first one is a prototype and thought goes into it, planning, pulling out your supplies, painting, cutting, arranging, glittering, stamping, but it was loads of fun. This ornament goes to Ashley of Charlotte, N.C. Hope she likes it. Click on the photos to see the detail!
Don't forget the big giveaways here , The Brocantess , and Brynwood Needleworks Click on each to enter and win!!

You Will Always Be; America The Beautiful To Me...

You have probably viewed the top sheet music 'America The Beautiful' here before, it is so beautifully vintaged with browns and tans, I wanted to post it again for you to use. And my fav president is Abe Lincoln. The last image is from Marcie @ The Rustic Victorian , sent this wonderful quote from Abe L.
With our country being in turmoil and step by wicked step losing our footage as a Christian nation and it's freedom, I would like to ponder on the positive and all the good we have and have had. Excuse me while I reflect, America my Beautiful Country.
Thank you, Marcie!
